As said before, the stomach stays about the size of a fist and stretches to handle the intake of food and when empty, goes back to same shape as when it started.item4a

HOWEVER, here is some good news from WebMD, sit-ups and exercise CAN reduce the size of your belly by tightening muscles and losing fat.  And, not just the outer fat but fat that lines th organs.

The part of your "belly fat" that can do the most harm can be the fat you don't see. It "resides in the 'omentum', a kind of internal sheet that lies over and around your internal organs."  This stuff sounds so obvious, but it obviously isn't for most of us who are lost in a sea of information and a political-media-economic-cultural trance that says LOSE WEIGHT and EAT MORE MORE and STILL YET MORE for your country's economy. So, let's keep looking deeper into this.

WebMD gives the example where a liver can become so packed with fat "you can develop a form of hepatitis."

"A healthy eating PLAN can help you shed the weight you can see, but also the internal fat layers you don't see."

Two points here:

1. While losing 40 pounds, I felt the layers of the fat changing internally. Especially when the

STUFFING over Thanksgiving, I had trouble breathing again for those 24 hours. Duh. That is because the stomach is on the left side of body on top of the lungs.  After the Thanksgiving STUFFING passed (through) and didn't leave more weight to lose, well one pound, I felt the relax-ness in the "high belly chest." I really like that.

2. I put PLAN in caps in the above because simply "watching" what you eat, if you are very overweight or obese, especially without much or any exercise, will keep you spinning around the same weight.

It is the PLAN (boss, the PLAN!) that makes the weight loss difference. A PLAN that has the daily calorie edge set that creates weight loss with healthy intake of nutrients (I take iSagenix shakes and liquid vitamins).

When the going gets rough, and there is slippage or drift, YOU CAN GO BACK TO THE PLAN THAT YOU KNOW WORKS. Otherwise the magical-hunger-pang-hypnotic trance  will keep you in the FAT TRANCE for much longer.

I heard a politician wanted to push a bill through congress to make height and weight information private and confidential info. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That is how much of a trance we are in these days. Weight LOSS or Weight GAIN is a VERY PUBLIC EVENT!

So, here's a toast to whatever PLAN that works for me and you . . .  that helps shed the outer and inner layers of un-necessary FAT.
