Don helps individual adults and couples step away from unhelpful attitudes and behaviors of the past into the fresh possibilities of the present.
He grew up in Salisbury, NC, and graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1982. His Master's Degree is in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University where he is an adjunct faculty member. He now practices psychotherapy and lives in the Walnut Creek, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). He is an author, with his wife Jeanne, of relationship and parenting books.
Don has been married for over 25 years to his wife Jeanne, with two adult children and two young grandchildren.
His work is influenced by the research of John Gottman, Ph.D., the writings of David Schnarch, Ph.D., researcher Karen Horney, Gregory Bateson, and the teachings of Ganga Karmokar.
